Rachel’s Why
Mental Health Administrative Assistant
Welcome, and thank you for learning more about me and my position as Mental Health Administrative Assistant with Koru Counseling Center.
I grew up with my family in northern California and always had a love for music and soccer, fulfilling my need for creativity, expression, and physical fitness. Upon entering California State University I already knew that I had a passion for the field of psychology, learning about the human mind and the uniqueness of what it means to be “human”. Of course, this was one of the major topics of discussion and interest in my home, and something I shared with my own Dad.
My specific interests in the field currently lie with forensic psychology and adolescent psychology, with the eventual goal of completing my graduate studies leading to licensure as a licensed marriage and family therapist.
I enjoy helping others and have over 8 years of customer service and managerial experience. My role with the counseling center is to manage scheduling, communication, and provide client support. I am passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive space for all clients.
